Business Terms

Payment for all SERVICES are due upon completion of work. All payments should be made to Art Conservation Framers.

Payment for all ON LINE SALES are instant if made by PayPal, or due within 5 business days if paying by other methods.

Postage/Freight charges are the responsibilty of the purchaser. If these charges cannot be calculated at the time of sale, the purchaser will be notified by email once they can be calculated and an additional payment will be required from the purchaser.

Returns will generally be accepted (at our discretion) or if the product is faulty. Returns are at the customers own expense unless the return is a result of our error or a faulty product. A 50% Cancellation fee for any custom made items may apply if you cancel your order after it has been made.

We try to keep information updated on a daily/weekly basis, however some products and prices may change or become unavailable at short notice.
- Under some circumstances items may be unavailable. If for any reason we do not have what you order in stock you will be notified and have the opportunity to replace with an alternative item (may not be advertised) or cancel your order.
- Costs: Should payment remain outstanding 30 days after completion of work, all discounts are revoked and the Customer is liable for all legal (and associated) costs in recovering the full amount outstanding.

Title: Property in any article sold by Art Conservation Framers (ACF) shall not pass to the customer until payment has been made in full and all cheques cleared. If payment is not made in full within the terms above, ACF reserves the right to retake physical possession of the goods and for this purpose the Customer hereby consents to ACF or its agent entering upon the customers premises.
- Collection: If after 30 days of completion of Customers work, work remains uncollected or payment has not been made in full to ACF or other terms have not been agreed upon, ACF reserves the right to charge storage fees from the date of completion and/or to sell the customers work to recover amount owed and any other associated costs.
- Quotes are valid for 30 days. All prices quoted include GST.
- The client acknowledges that it is impossible for Art Conservation Framers (ACF) to give any guarantee or assurance of permanence of the condition of the artwork or of the services supplied in respect of it and, accordingly, that the client has not received any such guarantee or assurance from ACF. Further that the client has not entered into this agreement in reliance upon any such guarantee or assurance.

Loss or Damage: ACF shall not be responsible for any loss or damage arising in any way from or out of the services provided or from having the Artworks in their possession, (including but not limited to fire or theft), save to the extent that any such loss or damage is caused by the negligence of ACF.

The risk of loss or damage to any article shall be entirely at the risk of the Customer once the article has left ACF.

Standard or Premium Conservation:
This refers to the Picture Framers Guild of Victoria Industry Standards (categories 3 and 4), which guarantees the use of conservation quality framing materials. Category 3, Standard Conservation: This is the accepted minimum standard for any artwork of artistic, monetary, historic, or sentimental value. Category 4,Premium Conservation: This category utilizes the best appropriate materials and techniques currently known, without compromise, to maximize the life of the artwork. -
The client acknowledges that prolonged exposure to light, humidity, or other adverse conditions may damage the artwork and that any artworks framed in PFGV Categories 3 and 4, should be inspected every 5 years (by a PFGV member or other qualified person) for any deterioration caused by inherent vice or environmental factors. ACF shall not be held responsible for either the inspection or any deterioration or damage that may have resulted to the artwork saves to the extent that any such deterioration or damage is caused by the negligence of ACF.

The client accepts and acknowledges these business terms upon commencement of any services by Art Conservation Framers (ACF).

Any liability on the part of ACF for any damages for or in respect of any claim arising out of or in connection with the relationship established by this agreement or any conduct under it or any instructions given to ACF by the client, other than any liability which is excluded by clause 8 and 9, shall not in any event exceed $200.
